As the mom of a 7 year old with cerebral palsy, I've had a difficult time finding others moms in Dallas who share my unique situation, issues and concerns. This meetup group is intended to be a place for parents of children with any type of special need or disability to share resources, brag about milestones, and sometimes just vent. The Hoffen Foundation is a 501.c.3 charity which raises funds for children's causes including programs for children's hospitals, scholarships,and outings for children with differing diseases, disabilities, and socialeconomic challenges. Events include happy hours, sporting events, a pirate themed sunset dinner cruise, our popular "Little Black Dress Party" in September, and our annual golf tournament in October which has many volunteers dressed up on the holes celebrating the Halloween season.
